The Burden of Emptiness is an abstract short animation that focuses on an internal struggle with existential void. The narrative follows a symbolic character through a dark, undefined space where movement becomes the primary storytelling device.
Inspired by Limbo's visual atmosphere, the project uses sharp black-and-white contrast, grain textures, and restrained pacing to build emotional weight. Character motion is rigged and animated in After Effects with Rubberhose 3 and IK-based control, while atmospheric audio layers support the meditative tone.
